Thanks, thank you, I appreciate it, thanks a lot, it was so awesome of you, you are the best, or beyond grateful are just multiple ways of saying you are thankful for something.đ„°
Sometimes saying thank you becomes a habit. You say it so much it can lose some of its meaning. Or it can be the opposite. You can not say it enough. You feel like they should just know you appreciate it or it goes unsaid. Itâs a taboo but saying thank you and showing appreciation is so important with our human relationships but also in our relationship with God. Itâs the will of God for us.
âPray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.â
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 KJV
âBe careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.â
Philippians 4:6 KJV
We are instructed to pray and also give thanks.đđŒ I know sometimes I am guilty of having a very brief âthank you Jesus for solving this problem now can you fix âŠâ. Itâs like once heâs fixed one thing we have our laundry list of other things we want and need him to fix. What would happen if we would stay in the thanks for awhile? Really show him how grateful we are for all the wonderful things he is doing for us.
âEnter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name.â
Psalm 100:4 KJV
âI will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the LORD.â
Psalm 116:17 KJV
âSing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praise upon thre harp unto our God:â
Psalm 147:7 KJV
Sometimes itâs hard to be thankful in the middle of the storm or the mess you are in. Sometimes we caused our mess and sometimes we are in a storm to learn something but the Bible even calls it a sacrifice. Even though it doesnât feel good to us, or we donât want to, if we will give a sacrifice of praise, God will honor that. â€ïž I would rather sacrifice and do that than have to pull out an altar and sacrifice animals like they used to!
âOffer unto God thanksgiving; And pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.â
Psalm 50:14-15 KJV
âO give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever.â
1 Chronicles 16:34 KJV
âAnd whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.â
Colossians 3:17 KJV
So whatever you do, Give thanks. Thanks in the hard, thanks in the easy, thanks for your foodđ, for you house, for electricity, a bill, a car, a house, a candy barđ«, a person, a pet, just something, big or small that you can be thankful for, because God is GOOD, and his mercy endureth forever!
